The "Telecom Fiber" business line of Heraeus Covantics focuses on delivering innovative solutions based on fused silica for optical fiber manufacturing in telecom applications. The product range includes large synthetic fused silica cylinders for fiber cladding, and tubes of varying sizes and purities for core rod and preform production. Looking ahead, we are pioneering the product development for next-generation optical fibers, such as hollow-core and multi-core fibers, enabling our customers to meet future technological demands.

The universal fiber for uninterrupted data flow with seamless splicing and flexible cable routing: The single-mode fibers in the Pandia® series meet the highest technical requirements and are ideal for a wide range of telecommunications applications. With excellent bending properties and compliance with ITU-T G.657.A1 and G.652.D standards, they offer seamless connectivity and flexible cable design. The fiber is available in 200 μm and 250 μm.

High bending insensitivity, highly flexible, durable, easy to install, available in two variants, ITU-T G.657.A2/A1 and G.652.D compliant.
Supuria® fibers offer impressive bending insensitivity, making smaller bending radii possible. This makes them particularly flexible and durable in use and handling. This property enables easy installation and storage as well as improved cable performance. They also offer great flexibility in cable design and are ideal for demanding installations. Available as Supuria® (ITU-T G.657.A2) and Supuria® Core (ITU-T G.657.A1), both ITU-T G.652.D compliant.
