Institut Mines Telecom

Shortly, Institut Mines-Télécom is a public establishment dedicated to higher education, research and innovation in the engineering and digital fields. In more details, as legislated in the "Journal Officiel décret n° 2012-279 du 28 février 2012" the Institut Mines-Télécom is a public institution dedicated to higher education, research and innovation in the engineering and digital fields. It is made up of 10 Mines and Télécom "grandes écoles", under the aegis of the Minister for Productivity (Mines Albi, Mines Alès, Mines Douai, Mines Nantes, Mines ParisTech, Mines Saint-Etienne, Télécom Bretagne, Télécom Business School, Télécom ParisTech, Télécom SudParis), as well as two subsidiary schools (Eurecom and Télécom Lille1). It maintains a close relationship with two strategic partners, Armines and Mines Nancy, part of the University of Lorraine. Lastly, the 11 "Institut Mines-Télécom Associated Schools" complete the list. The Institut Mines-Télécom schools are ranked amongst the leading "grandes écoles" in France. Their activities are aimed at economic stakeholders and include training for engineers and managers, master's degrees and PhDs, research and innovation. They are nationally and internationally renowned for their excellence. The Institut Mines-Télécom is a member of the Allistene, Aviesan and Athena national alliances for research planning. In addition, the quality and intensity of its ongoing research in partnerships were rewarded by two Carnot Institut labels in 2006, renewed in 2011. Every year, 100 business start-ups are created within the schools’ incubators. Institut Mines-Télécom has been member of the FTTH Council since 2009
