The Digital Networks Act: Future-proofing the EU’s digital connectivity

On 18 May, FTTH Council President Francesco Nonno joined the debate shaping the next decade of telecom infrastructure in Europe, alongside policymakers, regulators and industry leaders at one of the key discussions around Digital Network Act.
WIth investment pressure growing and Europe facing increasing competition on digital infrastructure, the discussion focused on how the DNA could shape the next decade of European connectivity and how its ambitions would stand up to real-world challenges.

Two panel debates featuring high-level representatives from EU Member States and EU institutions, civil society and industry examined the DNA’s potential to drive digital transformation, strengthen European competitiveness and deliver benefits for society as a whole.

The event was co-organised by the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the General Secretariat of the Council.

A sincere thank you to the organisers for bringing together such an important and timely discussion on the future of Europe’s digital infrastructure.
